CBD, more generally Full Spectrum Cannabinoids, are made up of several different beneficial molecules, such as CBD, CBG, CBC, etc. Within all of those compounds, a trace level of up to 0.3% (yes, almost zero) of Δ9-THC – or what we commonly refer to as THC – is allowed to be present. By the time that Full Spectrum CBD goes into our Sculpted Lip Oil, the THC level is undetectable.

CBD
CBD, short for Cannabidiol, is a non-psychoactive compound extracted from Cannabis plants. Often the term is used to describe the extract of Hemp, which has recently been discovered to have many wonderful health and beauty benefits. Hemp
Hemp is a special form of Cannabis that has been specially cultivated to maximize the miraculously beneficial Cannabinoids (also referred to as CBD) while minimizing any of the psychoactive ingredients found in marijuana. Specifically, THC is only allowed at the trace level of 0.3% (nearly zero). Hemp seeds are used widely in gourmet food and health shakes because of their incredible nutritional value. They are also celebrated for their rich essential fatty acid content, Vitamin B, and other healthy minerals.
Cannabis
Think of Cannabis like the mother plant to Hemp and Marijuana. Technically, it is the genus of plant from which all Hemp (cultivated for its minimal THC content) and Marijuana (cultivated for its high THC content and psychoactive effects) are derived. Beyond CBD, there are other incredibly beneficial compounds that are being discovered in Cannabis, such as CBG.
THC
This is the part of Cannabis and Marijuana plants that makes them psychoactive. Technically, it is measured as Delta-9 THC, sometimes written as Δ9-THC. Our farmers go to great lengths to ensure that the THC content is extremely low in the Hemp that they grow for us. There is no THC detectable in our CBD Sculpted Lip Oil.
Terpenes
Terpenes are the trace elements of the plant that make it special. For example, imagine smelling a Rose. The beautiful fragrance of each Rose comes from the hundreds of wonderful, naturally-occurring chemicals present in each flower. Similarly, over 100 terpenes have been identified in the extract of Hemp. They all act in unison to enhance the performance and maximize the benefits of CBD.
